NFIA Patron's Annual Walk for Charity

The National Fire Industry Association Australia Patron’s Annual Walk for Charity, along the Great Ocean Walk, will raise money to support priority research at the Queensland Brain Institute (QBI) at The University of Queensland (UQ) and the Gallipoli Medical Research Foundation (GMRF).

Aurora Adventures is leading a group of ten trekkers on one of Australia’s most iconic hikes. The spectacular route weaves its way through national parks full of tall forests, coastal heathlands, wild rocky shores and windswept cliff-tops, presenting amazing views as nature truly unfolds at every step.

The trekkers are committed to helping raise $250,000 to support UQ’s Queensland Brain Institute (QBI) and the Gallipoli Medical Research Foundation (GMRF).

GMRF is committed to enhancing the health and wellbeing of veterans by conducting innovative and life-changing research projects to fight the impact of major illnesses such as liver disease, liver cancer, melanoma cancer and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Money raised will be divided equally between UQ QBI and GMRF. Please note gifts will be administered by Gallipoli Medical Research Foundation (GMRF) so their name will appear on your tax receipt. QBI and GMRF will provide relevant information to donors as required.
